I just got back from Columbia, South Carolina.
I was visiting my daughter and her family. I've been there at least ten times and every time I go, I see something new. This time it was the State Capital. I was on a field trip with my grandson. I loved the grounds with all the monuments.
I have been to several state capitals and the insides are all similar, but the South Carolina grounds were something else. From George Washington to the stars on the capital that show where it was hit with canon balls, it was amazing. It has monuments to Veterans, Lunsford, Strom Thurmond, Liberty Bell replica, General Hampton, State Palmetto, BR Tillman, Confederates, African Americans, James Byrnes, and Law Enforcement. When you have time, spend an hour on the grounds of the state capital and have some fun.
