If you like to travel, you probably have a lot of souvenirs.  How did you make your selection?

Many times we buy for the thrill of buying, but when you are on vacation, you need to be less compulsive.  You have only a limited amount of luggage space and want to make the most of it. I like buying  very personal items.  I find something that will remind me of the place.  Strolling down windy neighborhoods is many times a pleasure in itself.  The search is part of the story.  I’ve found small paintings, jewelry, and keychains that have sparked my mind back to the time I purchased them. 
What is your favorite souvenir purchase?   

Beer Park by Budweiser, Las Vegas, Paris is the first rooftop bar in Vegas.
The Beer Park by Budweiser features a 10,000-square-foot outdoor deck overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. A grass lawn features classic bar games such as pool, bean bag toss and darts. More than 100 draft can and bottle beer selections kept at chilling temperatures. The Beer Park plans to be open daily from lunch through late night, becoming a strictly bar setting for the 21 and over crowd at 10 PM.

Maverick Helicopters unveiled a new 5 million dollar Las Vegas terminal. Features includes floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook McCarran International Airport’s runways, a private room for VIPs and group events, a café with expanded food and beverage selections, a signature registration desk with double the capacity of the previous terminal, a separate photo and video desk for passengers to purchase photos and videos from their flights, a large courtyard designed for group and corporate events; and an expanded gift shop. Take a ride over the scenic Las Vegas strip by day or night or the Grand Canyon.  It will be a ride you'll never forget. 

Las Vegas always has something new, whether it be a show, restaurant, or attraction.  You can see Jennifer Lopez from January 20, 2016 - February 6, 2016 at Planet Hollywood.  It is a limited time only performance. All I have to say, is she is a busy girl.  Between American Idol, her new TV show, and performing in Vegas, she must be exhausted.

If you saw what I saw, you would take the travel insurance. Before working in the travel industry, I always thought that the optional travel insurances offered by airlines and tour operators were something of a racket, but spending years in the industry changed my mind. Here are some dilemmas: I had a client whose appendix burst 2 days before she was to leave for Germany. I had a client whose child had a medical emergency while they were on a cruise ship.  I've had a client get sick while on a trip to Costa Rica and another fall on a trip and couldn't continue on.  Thanks to travel insurance, none of these sudden emergencies translated into a financial crisis.  You may not get ill, but someone in your family may, a natural disaster occur, or the weather just not cooperate.  Budget for the travel insurance ahead of time. For clients that are outright persistent against the insurance I would say, “Can you afford to lose x amount?  If the answer is no, you may want to reconsider.”  Use this test for yourself as well.

Do you enjoy the amenities of an all-inclusive resort? Most people love the value of meals, drinks, entertainment, and room all wrapped into one.  The Riu Palace Paradise Island, located next door to mega-resort Atlantis, is one of the few all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas. The beauty of Paradise Island and the great location, close to gaming is enticing to many. The  Riu just renovated 379 rooms and suites and has a contemporary feeling. The Riu's trademarks are the stocked minibars and  24-hour room service (both free). They have four a la carte restaurants as well as a buffet that changes often.. The Renova spa offers couples massages and treatments.
